Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Blue Flame Group is committed to ensuring that our website and the 8AI platform are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that accessible technology is essential — particularly for a product used by public housing authorities serving diverse communities under federal programs.

We actively work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and we align our practices with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as applicable to our government-adjacent software.

Conformance status

This website aims for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. We are in active development and some areas are partially conformant — meaning some content does not yet fully meet all criteria.

Accessibility features

The following features are implemented or targeted across our web properties:

• Semantic HTML5 landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer)
• Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
• Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
• Keyboard-navigable interface — all interactive elements reachable without a mouse
• Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
• Form labels associated with their inputs
• Responsive layout that reflows for zoom up to 400% without horizontal scrolling
• No content flashes more than 3 times per second (seizure safety)
• Link text descriptive of destination — no standalone "click here" labels

Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas that do not yet fully meet our target standard. We are actively working to resolve them:

• Animated diagram (4 C's section): The hub-and-spoke animation on the homepage does not pause on user request. Users who prefer reduced motion should use browser or OS settings to suppress motion (prefers-reduced-motion support is on our near-term roadmap).
• Google Maps embed: The embedded map on the About page may have limited keyboard and screen reader accessibility depending on the user's Google Maps preferences.
• PDF content: Some downloadable documents are not yet fully tagged for assistive technology. Contact us for an accessible version of any document.

Third-party content

This site uses Google Fonts (loaded externally) and Google Maps embeds. These third-party services have their own accessibility policies. Blue Flame Group does not control their conformance but selects providers with documented accessibility commitments.
